Cupid’s Arrows

We finally crafted our own Cupid's Arrows!  I took inspiration from all of the great examples on my previous post.  Ours is a combination of the feather arrows and the traditional red and pink Valentine's colors.  I know one thing-feathers are messy!  These would also be great décor for couples showers, baby showers, engagement parties, etc.   Here are the supplies you'll need:  All of these can be purchased at Hobby Lobby.  I also bought two glass vases on sale…

Here are the photos from the baby shower! The baby shower was hosted at a local cafe, which decor happens to be yellow and orange. I really lucked out with all the decorations. The vases came from Micheal’s for about $1 a piece. Notice the one with the honeycomb pattern! The birds, butterflies, and bees were on sale, too. The tissue paper balls hanging from the ceiling were found at Marshall’s for $2. I also incorporated Lena’s paper goods as…

Sweet Arrangement

I just love all of the cute Valentine decor ideas out there.  Especially when they involve candy!  Here is a sweet little bouquet to display this time of year.  To make each flower cut 6 hearts out of colored card stock.  Punch a hole near the tip of each heart.  Thread a lollipop through the holes.  Arrange hearts on stick and fan out to make petals. Use this as a centerpiece or give as a Valentine! (photo from bhg.com) …

Not Just for the Birds

Check out this cool idea for displaying your drinks in the Summer heat!   Most of us already have a bird bath.  Just clean it out and cover the inside with plastic wrap.  Fill with ice and insert your punch, soft drinks, wine and water.  They also decorated this one with blooms.  This would be lovely for an outdoor reception or bridal shower.
